Although the border collie is well-known for its endless energy and unrivaled drive to work

 this breed of dog was never intended to be a laid-back household companion. Border collies are noted for their agility and intensity. 

It doesn't take long for folks to realize they've gotten themselves into over their heads when they make a hasty purchase of a collie after falling in love

plush coats and exuberant personalities. Border collies have the potential to be very obedient dogs, but this only occurs when they are given tasks to perform.

They frequently resort to herding everything and anybody, including children, if they are unemployed and do not have a job to do.

In a nutshell, despite their goofy and shaggy appearance, Spanish water dogs have the potential to be affectionate family pets.

However, you shouldn't let their appearance fool you. This breed was bred to work hard as a herding and hunting type, and as a result, they have a strong urge to guard and protect their family and property.
